our Rabbis

Paige Lincenberg

came to MCJC in 2021 while a rabbinical student in the Aleph Ordination Program of the Jewish Renewal Movement.  She was ordained in 2023, with a specialized certification in Earth-based Judaism.  Rabbi Paige feels very connected to trees, the spiral of the Hebrew calendar, and to honoring the moments in the cycle of life, from birth through death.  She has been reaching out in particular to younger people on the Coast and welcoming them into Jewish life and community.  She was raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and sometimes you can hear a hint of a twang when she speaks.

Margaret Holub

has been the rabbi of MCJC since 1989 (and she has led High Holy Day services in our community since 1984).  Margaret loves to know everybody in our community, and she thinks a lot about the possibilities for deep, committed community.   She was raised in Southern California and attended Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem, Los Angeles and New York, where she was ordained in 1986. She is a member of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association.  She's a fabric artist and an adventurous cook.
