to reflect back on the generations before us, our direct forebears, and our own younger selves, to ask them, dream them, and look upon their injuries and sufferings with more understanding and more generosity.

What is my soul work?

Easy

Almost any difficulty in life is bearable if we don’t have to face it alone.

Torah, by being Torah, elevates and honors the texture of life, with all its bumps and divots, the ALL of it.

It is important that we move in whatever way we move, with regard to Israel and Palestine and any other place of conflict and division, by reckoning that we share existence with all of these beings, and we have things in common.

I am fascinated and driven slightly mad by that gap between our passion about issues and our ability to generate useful ways to address them.
